OMG!! The Early Bird is Just Over 1 Week Away, Ends July 15!!!

Whaaat are you waiting for, an invitation?? This is it adventure race fanatics, your last chance to get in under the wire for the special early bird rate of only $390 + GST. After that, all is not lost, you can still register at the regular rate of $450 + GST. All teams to register before the early bird deadline of July 15 will also be entered into a draw to win a FREE 2 night stay for race weekend, courtesy of the Falcon Lake Hotel. The First Ever Pain In The ASSiniboine Urban Adventure Was a Huge Success!!

With a name like "Pain In the ASSiniboine" you're sure to turn a few heads and ruffle a few feathers! The concept for this great event started over "beverages" and was the inspiration of fellow Swamp Donkey teammate and course designer Alex Man. Who would have known so many would have embraced a crazy event with such a crazy name! And who would have known just weeks before the race the skies would open and the heavens would "rain down". This act of Mother-Nature changed the course of the adventure to come.

Accommodations for 2010 Swamp Donkey Race

Don't be left out in the cold. Book your place to stay now to avoid disappointment. The Swamp Donkey Festivities begin on the Friday before the race and our host site, Falcon Trails has been booked solid for this weekend for some time now, but there are other options. Our early-bird prize sponsors could hook you up with a room at the Falcon Lake Hotel or Marg and Murray are great hosts across the highway at Falcon Beach Ranch. Please visit their websites and contact them direct to book a room. If you would prefer some more low key accommodations, please speak to John or Rick about camping options. Visit the Falcon Lake Chamber of Commerce for other accommodations or information about the area.

Wilderness Supply Navigation Clinics

Aug 18/ 19, 2010 & Sept. 14/ 15,2010. This course is designed for the first time navigator or someone wishing to brush up their skills. The indoor clinic will introduce the basic terminology and techniques of successful navigation, the outdoor clinic (which we highly recommend) will get right into the bush and put some of these new skills into practice!
