CityTV's Breakfast Television is shooting at the U of W Duckworth Centre next week. They are looking for "high caliber" athletes (like our racers...) that train at the U of W to speak about how they stay in shape and what they're training for (ie: ICE Donkey, PITA, Swamp Donkey). ICE Donkey Registration Is Open!!!
The ICE Donkey Winter Adventure is back! Sunday, February 12, 2012 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at The Forks.
HOT 103 and The Assiniboine Credit Union River Trail along with Swamp Donkey Adventure Racing want you... To join in the fun at the Third annual fantastic frosty event!
Participate as a solo or a team of 2 in this 2-3 hr winter multi-sport style event that will test your mettle in snowshoeing, Ice-biking, running and skating. Compete against others and challenge yourself for ultimate abominable domination. Special winter challenges may include: tobogganing, snowman building, Inuksuk making or whatever Mother Nature may throw at us! We are Winnipegger's after all and this kind of adventure is what we were made for!

Spooky Halloween Nite-Nav October 30, 2011
Caught the adventure-racing bug? Need a little more before you take a break and change training plans for the winter? Then come out to Assiniboine Forest on Sun. October 30/ 11 for a Halloween Night Navigation Bush Crash ~ rainy or starry skies. The Swamp Donkey Crew will meet you at Chalfont and Grant parking lot at 6pm. We'll have some Halloween goodies at all the CPs; bring some of your own to ...share with everyone after the crash - marshmallows, chips etc... and a mug for beverages - We'll finish around 9pm (ish).
Please bring a "tin for the bin" for Winnipeg Harvest and we'lll be accepting $10 donations in support of our good friend Ace Burpee's "One Man-One Hundred Thousand Dollars" campaign for United Way.

If you're still attempting to secure accommodations for the weekend we just got word that there is a cabin at the host site that has become available for (only) Friday eve before the race. Contact Falcon Trails Resort. There are a few rooms remaining at Falcon Lake Hotel for both nights. Also available cabins for the weekend at Crescent Beach Cabins. Book now to avoid disappointment!

Well "the boys" were at it again the last few weekends. Crashing around in the bush, biking to remote locations and putting the finishing touches on what is going to be the event of the year. John, Rick, Kurt and Alex have spent "Swamp Donk-elicious" weekends in Falcon Lake and the surrounding areas around Falcon Trails Resort. Working hard and burning the midnight oil pouring over maps, estimating timings and figuring out last minute logistics for The Swamp Donkey Race on September 24, 2011.
