The Dirty Donkey Mud Run Brings Obstacle Mud Runs to Manitoba this Summer

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - The Dirty Donkey Mud Run is a wild and fun 5K event that combines trail running with unique obstacles that challenges both fierce competitors and off-the-couch thrill seekers. Events like Dirty Donkey Mud Run are sweeping North America, and this will be the first Canadian owned and operated event of its kind being offered this summer in Winnipeg.
On Saturday, August 17, 2013 adventure-seeking athletes will head to Springhill Winter Park & Oasis Resort just outside of Winnipeg to conquer obstacles over 5 kilometers of extreme & hilly terrain. Hundreds of racers will take off every 30 minutes to pit themselves against the course. Competitors will run solo or in teams of any size and by the end of the day, over 2,500 racers will have crawled thru mud, under barbed wire, shimmied thru tunnels, and climbed over and under obstacles in an attempt to cross the finish line wet and muddy. After completing the intense physical challenge, participants will celebrate their victory alongside friends and family while enjoying food and beverages.
"With The Dirty Donkey Mud Run, we're taking the normal 5K run, and throwing in extreme challenges to push our racers to their limits. The great thing about this race is that we'll have the competitive racer that has trained for it, and the weekend warrior just out to have fun" said Race Director John Ford. Also added this year will be 2 BAD ASS heats for those wanting an extreme challenge!
In just 6 short years the Swamp Donkey Adventure Race Team has put on 15 multi-sport races and challenged thousands of participants. The events have established this Manitoba organization as one of the top Canadian adventure race series.

Dirty Donkey Mud Run is the one of the largest Canadian companies to offer obstacle mud runs to Manitobans and Canadians. Participants will trudge through mud and scale obstacles during this insane 5K. Registration is open on our website here: Register for Dirty Donkey Mud Run. SUPER Early Bird Pricing is 55.00 per racer (+GST) and is in affect until March 1, 2013 11:59pm CST. Early Bird registration pricing $65.00 per racer (+GST) commences from Mar 2, 2013 and is in effect until July 15, 2013 11:59pm. Regular registration pricing $75 per racer (+GST) commences July 16, 2013 and closes Aug 15, 2013 at 11:59 CST.
